Tonight with Moeed Pirzada: Questions raised about identity of people who backed Uzair Baloch
Confessional statement of Uzair Baloch , as he claimed that he had forcibly vacated 30 to 40 bungalows and apartments near Bilawal House in Karachi on the orders of Pakistan People Party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari. Uzair in the statement claimed that he also provided assistance to Awais Muzaffar Tappi and Zardari in occupying 14 sugar mills. He said that the bounty on his head and cases against him were dropped after the intervention of Zardari and Faryal Talpur.
While talking Dr Moeed Pirzad Senator Saeed Ghani said that Uzair Baloch criminal activities have no links with his party. The PPP leader refuted the allegations placed by under-custody Uzair Baloch on the PPP leadership, including Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari. Ghani said that the PPP is least concerned over the Uzair Baloch case.
Senator Saeed Ghani said, “Prime Minister blocked Sindh gas supply and transferred to Punjab for the success of his candidates in the election 2018.He said all opposition parties are in favor of Sindh Chief Minister. Taking about the friends of Asif Ali Zadari he said. We doubt that Security Agencies have kidnapped them. Federal government must conduct an investigation about the lost people. In his concluding remarks he said, apart from Peoples Party, political and social personalities were also in contact with Uzair Baloch.

While talking to Dr. Moeed Pirzada, Chairman PSP Mustafa Kamal said our party was not established to merely conduct speeches, rather we demand plans for cleaning water and proper disposal of garbage. The government of PPP doesnt have right to hold the authority, instead the authority should be transferred to the Mayors office. He said I suggested government to establish 5 transfer stations for disposing the garbage.
Talking on water issue he said that desalination is not a solution because the sea water is fully contaminated and desalination plants would cost a heavy price which would increase the cost of water. Karachi need 1200 million gallon water while it is getting only 140 million gallon, so an additional 1200 Cusic water must be allocated from Sindh River.
Giving his remarks over the statement of Governor Sindh, Kamal said “I disagree with him”. Without the support of rangers it would have been impossible to eliminate the terrorism from city. He concluded the discussion with the hope that PSP would be the largest political party by 2018.

Is govt deliberately making Raheel shareef controversial
Dr Moeed Pirzada discussed with defense analyst Gen Retired Amjad Shoeib on the recent statement of Sindh Governor Mohammad Zubair where he said that former army chief Gen (retd) Raheel Sharif was “just another general and no one should make him larger than life”.
Amjad shoeib said that appointment of Gen raheel as head of Saudi arab military alliance would be beneficial. He will bring Iran and Saudi arab closer. He also criticized Iran by saying that they should realize that Pakistan took their side and made GCC countries angry by staying neutral on yemen crises.
He said compact and balanced foreign policy is the requirement of Pakistan state to deal with Iran and Saudi Arab.

A general analysis on current political and social issues. Dr. Moeed in his introduction highlighted the protests, held in Karachi by Jamat-e-Islami against k electric due to the load shedding of electricity and by fixit, against the elimination of IG singh AD khuwaja. He then moved towards khuwaja Saad Rafiq and revised his comments about Imran Khan that is, he made a sensible statement about COAS and there is nothing wrong in their meeting. In a quite humorous way, Dr. Moeed analyzed the relations between PML-N and PPP that as such no political scuffle it witnessed among both the parties and both have same views about Imran Khan and PTI. He also used the word “intelligent person” for Khuwaja Saad Rafiq. Dr. Moeed concluded his introduction giving remarks on the speech of Imran Khan at talagang district, that he told People about Corruption and Money Laundering just like a Professor.
Tonight with Moeed pirzada: Increasing Influence of Russia in Afghanistan
Is Russian interference increasing in the region? Dr Moeed Pirzada invited former Ambassador Rustam Shah Mohmand to discuss the initiative for peace talk on Afghanistan by Russia. Amb Rustam said that Russia is trying to increase its dominance and influence in the region and particularly in Afghanistan. It is basically due to couple of reasons. Presence of ISIS in Afghanistan is threat for Russia as well as China, Pakistan and Iran. That is why Russia and Iran are also now supporting Taliban to fight against ISIS.
Russian initiative for Peace in Afghanistan started in December 2016, along with China and Pakistan. On 14 April Russia will host meet on Afghanistan. 12 countries including Russia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, China, Iran, India, 5 central Asian Nations and United States were invited for talks at Moscow, but US have not yet confirmed whether it will participate or not. This is first time when US will not be participating in the peace process. American presence in the region is also ambiguous yet. Are they in Afghanistan to curtail China or keeping an eye on Pakistan’s nuclear arsenals or something else?
